Kyle Patten has become the latest player to put pen to paper on a new deal with Haverfordwest County.

The defender, who is a product of the Newport County academy, arrived at the Ogi Bridge Meadow last summer from Barry Town United.

The 27-year-old quickly established himself as a first team regular, and went on to make 26 appearances for the Bluebirds in the JD Cymru Premier.

Patten, who has also represented the likes of Merthyr Town and Bath City, played over 2000 minutes for County over the course of Phase One and Two.

He also contributed a goal, with his strike from close range giving the Bluebirds the lead against Barry Town United in November, a game which went on to finish 1-1.

A commanding presence in the defensive line, Patten also featured in both cup competitions last season, playing 90 minutes in the 3-1 home defeat to Bala Town in October, as well as appearing in the 2-0 loss against Cardiff Metropolitan 10 days later.

Patten’s consistency and level of performance meant he was able to maintain his place in the side following the arrival of manager Nicky Hayen in January, and we look forward to seeing him back in blue next season!
