Haverfordwest County AFC can confirm that Kurtis Rees will be leaving the club upon the expiration of his contract this summer after a three-year stay.

The midfielder joined the Bluebirds in the summer of 2019 from Pontardawe Town, and was part of the side that secured promotion to the JD Cymru Premier after a second placed finish in the JD Cymru South, which was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rees quickly established himself as a key part of the team, featuring 21 times in his first campaign at the Ogi Bridge Meadow and scoring four goals, with his combative displays in midfield helping County to get on top.

He was also an important part of the side which performed so well upon the club’s return to the top-flight, as he made a total of 26 appearances across Phase One and Two in the 2020-21.

One of the longest serving members of the current squad, Rees played 81 times for the Bluebirds in all competitions, with his consistency of performance meaning he was an integral part of the team right throughout his three years with the club.

We would like to place on record our thanks to Kurtis for his efforts over the last three years, and we wish him well with whatever comes next in his footballing journey.
