Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce that Jack Wilson has extended his stay with the club by signing a new two-year contract.

The energetic 21-year-old has been a regular fixture for the Bluebirds since we made our return to the JD Cymru Premier two years ago.

Wilson, a versatile player who is comfortable slotting in anywhere from the wing-back role to striker, is a hugely popular member of the club, not only with his fellow teammates, but the supporters alike.

The youngster, who hails from Milford Haven, mainly found himself filling in at wing-back for much of the 2021-22 campaign, with his pace and durability helping him to form an effective partnership with Jazz Richards, who played on the opposite flank.

The former Hakin United man, who also represented the Welsh Schools and Welsh Colleges, has been responsible for many of our most memorable moments since returning to the top-flight, with the highlight undoubtedly being the dramatic late goal to secure victory over Bala Town at Maes Tegid in the 2020-21 season.

Wilson was a mainstay in the County side this season, featuring in all but one of the Bluebirds’ 32 league matches, as he showed his attacking and creative prowess by contributing four goals and three assists – despite playing in a primarily defensive role.

He also made three appearances in the JD Welsh Cup, scoring one goal and setting up two more for his teammates.
