Haverfordwest County AFC can confirm that Zac Jones has committed to the club for next season by signing a new one-year deal to remain at the Ogi Bridge Meadow.

The 21-year-old, who hails from Wellington in New Zealand, arrived at the club in January, and can now look forward to spending his first full season with the Bluebirds in 2022-23.

Goalkeeper Jones joined County after leaving Miramar Rangers, who currently sit second in the New Zealand National League Central table, having joined the Wellington suburb outfit in March 2021.

The Kiwi, who represented his country at under-17 and under-20 level, has also played for the likes of Wellington Olympic (New Zealand National League) and Team Wellington, who were dissolved in 2021.

In between those two stints, Jones had a spell with Wellington Phoenix, who compete in the A League – which is the highest level of football in Australia.

The stopper, who stands at 1.85m tall, is yet to make an appearance for the Bluebirds in the JD Cymru Premier, having played three times for the Development team, and he will be hoping to force his way into the reckoning for next season.
