Haverfordwest County AFC can confirm that Elliot Scotcher has signed a new two-year contract to ensure he remains with the club for the near future.

The 28-year old has been with the Bluebirds since 2020, when he returned for a second spell at the Ogi Bridge Meadow, and he has gone on to be a regular fixture in the team.

Although traditionally a midfielder, he displayed his versatility this season by playing the vast majority of matches in defence, with his ball-playing ability and positional awareness helping County to play out from the back.

Scotcher, who hails from Tenby, has proven to be a dependable figure for the club this season, featuring in 29 of our 32 league matches, while also playing in all six of our cup matches.

Formerly of Cardiff Metropolitan, Barry Town United, Aberystwyth Town and Carmarthen Town, Scotcher was able to form a strong partnership in the back three alongside Kyle Patten and fellow Tenby man, captain Dylan Rees – and joins his defensive partners in putting pen to paper on a new deal.
