Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to confirm that captain Dylan Rees has signed a one-year contract extension with thee club.

The defender was already under contract until the end of next season, but this latest agreement means he will remain with the Bluebirds until at least the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

This news means that, since yesterday (May 2), a total of eight players have already agreed to new contracts with the club, as we continue preparations for next season in the JD Cymru Premier.

This latest announcement comes as a big boost to the club, with Rees – already an experienced top-flight campaigner – having joined last season from Cardiff Metropolitan.

The 25-year-old, who is a product of the Cardiff City academy, immediately took the armband upon his arrival, and led by example throughout the season as the club achieved Cymru Premier status for next term.

Rees, who appeared 34 times for the Bluebirds across league and cup competitions in 2021-22, arrived at the club as a right-back, but displayed his versatility by playing primarily at centre-back – forming a strong partnership with Kyle Patten.

If you are interested in sponsoring Dylan for the 2022-23 season, please get in touch with r.edwards@hcafc1899.football for more information.
