The Bluebirds suffered their heaviest defeat of the season on a balmy evening in the capital.

The Bluebirds were on the back foot from the off, as Elliot Evans fired a volley high over the bar from outside the area. Unfortunately, the Bluebirds were behind after two minutes as Elliot Evans was found at the back post and slotted under Gajda.

The Bluebirds fought back as Elliot Scotcher fired a left-footed volley just wide from the edge of the area. However, the Bluebirds found themselves two behind as Elliot Evans crossed for Hulbert, who squeezed the ball under Gajda. In the 22nd minute, Woolridge was on hand to tap home after a Gajda save to make it 3-0 to the home side.

Met continued to push, and the ball dropped to Hulbert from a corner, who then fired into the back of the net. Just a few minutes later, the home side were awarded a penalty after a push at a corner and Evans stepped up to score. Just before half time, Evans played in Hulbert who finished under Gajda to make it 6 before half time.

The opening stages of the second half were quiet, until the 73rd minute, where Lang dropped the ball in the box and Kieran Lewis pounced to finish.

Jack Wilson entered from the bench, in his first game since December, as the game ended 6-1.
