The Bluebirds welcome Flint Town United to the Bridge Meadow this Saturday (24th) for a 2.30pm kick off as they look to bounce back from successive defeats.

Last Time Out

The Bluebirds faced their heaviest defeat of the season at the hands of Cardiff Met on Tuesday. A hat-trick from Ollie Hulbert, a brace from Elliot Evans and a goal from Bradley Woolridge meant that the Bluebirds went in at half time trailing by 6 goals. A solitary goal from Kieran Lewis in the second half reduced the deficit, but the Bluebirds fell to back-to-back defeats.

Flint also faced defeat as they lost 2-0 at home to Newtown. Goals from Jordan Evans and Tyrone Ofori either side of half time means that the Silkmen head to the Bridge Meadow on the back of a defeat.

The Reverse Fixtures

Back in October, the Bluebirds travelled to the North Wales coast where late goals from Jack Wilson and a Danny Williams penalty secured all 3 points in a 2-0 victory. In November, it was the away side who triumphed again as Flint took all 3 points from the Bridge Meadow. Alex Jones netted in the first half, before Connor Harwood scored 5 minutes after the restart. Alaric Jones was then dismissed for a second yellow card, with Wes Baynes suffering the same fate 20 minutes later. Kieran Lewis saw a straight red before Ben Steer scored the final goal of the game in a 3-0 win for Flint.

The Table

After the midweek results, the Bluebirds remain top of the Play-Off Conference on 32 points, ahead of Newtown by 2 points. Whereas Flint sit one from bottom with 24 points.
