Jazz Richards faced the media before the Bluebirds take on TNS tomorrow and the news signing is excited to make his home debut “if [he] gets picked!”

Jazz stated to the press “the staff are amazing, there are some really talented footballers here and I can’t wait to get started.”

Following Richards’ 34 minute debut against Aberystwyth on Tuesday, he said he was prepared for the challenge. “It was a tough game to come on to, and one of the first challenges on me, he’s smashed me up in the air and I’ve seen the post on Sgorio saying ‘Welcome to the Cymru Leagues!’ But I’m ready for it. The next two games are really important for us, we know how good [TNS & Nomads] are, but the boys are ready for it.”

Speaking about his experience so far, Jazz said “I’ve had one training session so far and I’ve really enjoyed it. It was very technical and tactical, and that’s what you want to see, especially coming from the professional game.” On the prospect of playing European football next year, Jazz stated “you wouldn’t want to turn that opportunity down. It’s a tough task but I know all the boys are up for the challenge.”

The Wales international also noted how it’s not just his own performances that will be effected by his arrival; “I’m happy to [help younger players], they’re all a humble bunch of lads and a few of them have already taken on some advice I’ve offered. I’m not just here to kick a ball, I want to help in any way possible”

Speaking about the transfer, manager Wayne Jones said “it was just something we couldn’t refuse, we knew just how much he could bring to us both on and off the pitch. After meeting Jazz for the first time, I knew straight away, I spoke to the chairman and said ‘we have to get him on board.’ He is a very humble guy and he is welcomed by all at the club.”

Chairman Rob Edwards stated “as everyone has said, it’s a massive signing for the league. We want people to know about what we’re doing at Haverfordwest and Jazz Richards’ profile will help draw attention to the team, which we’ve already seen happen. There is a real opportunity to break into the top 3 in the Cymru Premier, and signing Jazz is a statement of intent and it’s an opportunity we’ve taken with both hands.”
