Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce their captain structure for the senior team for the 2021/22 season.

The club were in search of a new captain after the retirement of Sean Pemberton. Sean has since taken a role amongst Wayne Jones’ coaching staff after making over 250 appearances for us.

In his place, Summer recruit Dylan Rees has been named as the first team captain for the upcoming campaign. Dylan joined the Bluebirds from Cardiff Met earlier this summer.

Vice-captain duties have been assigned to midfielder Elliot Scotcher. Scotcher rejoined the club from Carmarthen Town nine months ago for another spell at the Bridge Meadow.

The 27-year-old made 22 appearances last season scoring one goal. He also has Cymru Premier experience for Aberystwyth Town, Barry Town United, and The Old Gold.

Lastly, Ricky Watts has been assigned the role of club captain. Right-back Watts rejoined the Bluebirds from Aber in 2017.

The 29-year-old brought top-flight experience to the squad with his three previous campaigns in 2009, 2010, and in 2015.

After relegation, he briefly joined Aberystwyth for a season but returned to West Wales and helped us achieve promotion back. Last season, he made 29 appearances.
