Marcus Griffiths scored a late winner for Haverfordwest County who thoroughly deserved their three points on the road.
After last week’s disappointing league defeat and cup exit at the hands of STM Sports, The Bluebirds were delighted to return to winning ways and kept a clean sheet.
Jake Merry, Miles John, Ricky Watts and Scott Tancock defended strongly for the duration of the game, despite having influential skipper Sean Pemberton and Sam Rodon both missing through injury.
Kieran Howard, on loan for the rest of season from Penybont, had solid game in central midfield for the visitors alongside vastly experienced Nicky Palmer, Kurtis Rees and Jack Wilson.
Strikers Ben Fawcett and prolific goal scorer Griffiths were a constant threat in attack for The Bluebirds.
Fawcett looked a threat all afternoon and he provided two excellent crosses for Palmer and Wilson who both missed decent chances in the first half.
The visitors finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute, Wilson’s brilliant cross was met with a clinical far post finish by Griffiths to secure the points.
“I’m delighted we won and kept a clean sheet, the boys did well this afternoon,” said Haverfordwest County manager Wayne Jones.
